Absorbent Products Ltd. is a privately-owned company that mines and manufactures a broad variety of products for retail, grocery, industrial and agricultural customers. We are based in Kamloops, BC, Canada but our products are sold throughout Canada and the USA through a combination of direct sales in some sectors, and indirectly via regional and/or national partners in other sectors. Our product lineup includes Industrial Absorbents, Feed Ingredients, Pet Litters and Insecticides.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Prospect and generate new business in new markets and territories: 100 of your time
• Prospect, identify, and qualify potential clients via outbound calling
• Qualify opportunities quickly, then control and close sales
• Meet monthly quotas for daily initial contacts and scheduled appointments
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Comfortable with negotiating sales opportunities $15,000 – $200,000

Skills & Abilities:
• Proven track record of prospecting for new business and generating new business
• Excellent skills building rapport & growing relationships
• Proven ability to uncover client pain by interviewing customers with probing questions
• Ability to listen to customers and qualify them as prospects
• Ability to present quotes/solutions, then negotiate and close complex sales
• Ability to Follow Up prior to and following the sale

• Able to orchestrate internal and external resources
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Able to quickly process client needs
• Competent and comfortable with computers and CRM

Front of the Line: If you have experience…
• With outside sales for 3 years you fast track to the front of the line
• With inside sales for 2 years you fast track to the front of the line
• Selling ingredients to mills, producers, distributors or both for a minimum of 1 year you fast track to the front of the line
• Working within meat or dairy production you fast track to the front of the line
• Selling products into a livestock production environment you fast track to the front of the line
• Working with and winning buy-in from diverse stakeholders such as nutritionists, buyers etc. you fast track to the front of the line

• Permanent full-time position
• Competitive compensation package, combining base salary, commission and bonus
• Your desire to make more than $85,000 is important

• California, Texas or Kansas City is preferred
