Large stable Manufacturing Plant in the Midwest is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to join our team as a Safety Coordinator Manager! Pay scale ranges between $60K and $90K DOE.We are an equal opportunity employer. There is relocation pay for household goods and cash lump sum to one of the top cities in the Country! Main functions include supporting the plant as a whole-including all operations and maintenance managers- also coordinates Safety initiatives by performing such duties as:

∑ Track records for MSDS, LOTO, monthly safety training, incident investigations, workerís compensation, safety accountability logs and other safety programs

∑ Create and distribute safety posters and communications

∑ Assist with writing safety policies and procedures

∑ Manage site & safety management system and related document control (policies, procedures, forms, training)

∑ Organize and schedule safety committee meetings and training classes (in-house and through outside training agencies)

∑ Coordinate emergency evacuation drills and plans, Emergency Response

∑ Deliver site safety/orientation training

∑ Assist with air monitoring, noise level surveys and Hazmat and Asbestos training

∑ Participates in the development of site safety plans

Requirements:

A Bachelorís Degree in Safety, Business or a related field or an equivalent combination of related education and experience is required for this position. *Preference will be given to individuals with a safety background.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

∑ Strong computer literacy including: proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook; minimum accurate typing speed of 50-60 WPM; and intermediate level 10-Key skills. MS Publisher or Adobe software experience ideal

∑ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

∑ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

∑ Ability to multi-task, prioritizes daily work assignments, meet deadlines and manage time wisely

∑ Strong mathematical and organizational skills and attention to detail

∑ Ability to maintain confidentiality and respond appropriately to sensitive situations and/or information

∑ Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with a diverse workforce, employees at all levels of the business and outside business representatives.

This is a full-time non-exempt position; all applicants should be willing to work 40-50 hours per work week and an occasional Saturday.
