Facilities Operations Manager
Great company with reputation as premier supplier of high quality commodities to the world is looking for a Facilities Manager to oversee operations linking U.S. farmers to global export programs.
This is an excellent career opportunity for a qualified candidate seeking an instrumental senior management role with an agricultural trading company. Provide strategic direction at the national companies Pacific US grain/commodity terminal. The Facility Manager will have responsibility for the daily operations, safety, maintenance, logistics, product shipping & receiving, labor management, product inventory and regulatory compliance.
Strategically located in the innovative Pacific Northwest, the Port of Grays Harbor and the Coastal Super Corridor is the West Coast's newest hub for business development and international trade.
This is a new state-of-the-art bulk loading facility using the latest technology.
-Manage the daily operation of the facility, including equipment maintenance, safety, personnel management and management of products.
-Coordinate with the Harbor to manage product unloading activities, i.e., railcar logistics and labor to unload railcars.
-Coordinate with the Harbor to manage ship loading activities, i.e., ship inspections, logistics and ILWU labor, Stevedore scheduling and FGIS services.
-Perform regularly scheduled inspections and develop action plans to maintain the integrity and “like new” condition of the facility.
Compose reports including safety, maintenance, operation activities, cost analysis, monthly summaries and cost reconciliations.
-Knowledge of grain export industry regulations and guidelines.
-Knowledge of supervisory techniques to accomplish instruction, training and motivation of employees.
-Skill in operating various equipment including scale systems, grain handling equipment, grain sampling equipment, grain cleaning equipment and PLC operation.
-Ability to work with organized labor, including contractual agreements.
-Elevator Terminal management and operations experience, with multiple commodities.
-Ocean Vessel, such as barge, loading and unloading experience.
-Knowledge of AGP policies, procedures, products and services.
Bachelors Degree and 5 years experience in the grain handling business required.
