Job Description:
● Weeding
● Pick row and orchard crops
● Sort, weigh and pack fruits and vegetables
● Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce
● Clean up racks, trays and growing, producing, and packing areas
● Hand harvesting fruits and vegetables
Requirements:
-Education: Not required
-Experience: Experience is an asset
-Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Tight deadlines, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Work under pressure, Attention to detail
-Personal suitability: Team player, Flexibility, Organized
-Work site environment: Outdoors, Wet/damp, Hot, Cold, Odours.
-Work location information: Rural area, Remote location
-Language: Basic level of English is required
Salary: $15.20 hourly, 50 - 60 hours per week.
Benefits: Life insurance, accommodation provided at a cost, transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate, uniforms (T-shirts) and tools provided.
Important Information: Work schedule will be 10 hours per day, 5-6 days per week on a rotational basis; resting days will be on Saturdays or Sundays. Workers are entitled to a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and two 10-minute paid healthy breaks.
