Job Duties:
Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
Level earth to fine grade specifications
Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
Harvest crops
Fertilize and spray crops
Detect disease and health problems in crops
Mixing and apply fertilizers
Weeding
Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market
Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas
Clear fields of wood and stones
Organize tasks to accomplish the work
Perform general farm duties
Drive farm trucks including tandem axil
May drive semi tractor trailer units
Requirements
Education: No minimum education requirements.
Experience: A minimum of 12 months of experience is required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Experience operating essential farm equipment—including a combine harvester, tractor, swather, and air seeder—is mandatory for this position due to the nature of the work.
Driver’s license Class 5 is required
Driver’s license Class 1A is an asset

Salary: $24.98 hourly, 30 - 50 hours per week.
Benefits: Parking and free parking available, Learning/training paid by employer, On-site amenities, accommodation provided at a discounted rate, Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate. The employer will provide transportation to and from the off-site housing to the work location, where necessary.
Important Information: The chosen candidates will work 5 – 7 days per week. If the worker works 7 days a week, then in the next week the worker will only work 5 days a week. The working hours will be set anywhere between 7 AM and 10 PM. Flexibility on schedule is required as some days will start earlier and others finish later depending on the business needs and weather.
