Job Description:
Maintain or assist in the maintenance of facilities and farm infrastructure including cleaning stables, barns, barnyards and pens.
Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment such as wheel loaders, forage processors, and forklift.
Maintain quality control and production records.
Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market.
Operate machinery to process and bag, box or otherwise package food products.
Load and unload shipping containers and trucks.
Prepare orders for shipment: Packaging product / labeling/ organizing warehouse.
Record production information.
Perform quality control of products: Identifying weeds, watching for dirt, color changes, moisture content.
Requirements:
Education: No formal education is required
Experience: Minimum one year of experience is required. If the candidate does not have the experience, specialized courses related to farming is required.
Farm equipment and basic farm knowledge are a strong asset
Valid driver’s license is a strong asset
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling.
Personal suitability: Organized, Team player, Judgement, Reliability, Quick learner.
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Noisy, Dusty, Hot, Cold/refrigerated
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Language: Basic English is required
Salary: $24.39 Hourly, 40 hours per week.

Important Information: Flexibility in schedule is required since we run the plant 16 hours a day, depending on the weather. Our shifts are from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm or 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on the business’ needs.
