These endeavors have been around for

vital part of the global economy. We
currently have a Purchasing Manager
I position open at our Grandview, ID
location.
Overview:
Directs and coordinates the
purchasing, receiving, warehousing,
and issuance of all assigned
materials, supplies and services
needed to operate all Land &
Livestock operations. Ensure that
the Land & Livestock Policies and
Procedures are administered and
followed in a fair and consistent
manner. The Manager is also
responsible for vendor solicitation,
screening and selection, for
maintaining the proper inventory
levels of all material, for assuring
that items purchased are of suitable
quality and shipped, stored, and
issued in a cost effective manner.
Records maintenance and appropriate
policy/procedure development and
revision are inherent
responsibilities. In addition, this
person will effectively manage
change, both people and processes as
well as supervise, coach and develop
subordinates.
Essential Functions:
Directs and coordinates purchasing
activities of all mobile equipment
and associated items, (including LL
Performs cost/benefit analysis and
net present value calculations to
justify strategies and to monitor
data trends. Manage and issue
purchase orders for Outside Ranches
and Grand View Farms West.
Organize the sale and/or
disbursement of surplus equipment.
Yearly fiscal inventory will require
on call evenings, weekends and
holidays to assist in emergencies.
Serves as liaison between the
Company and suppliers; ensuring that
the interface between the company
and vendor is conducted in a manner
that is fair, equitable and in
conformance with Company guidelines.
Skill/Experience Requirements:
Basic knowledge of parts and
materials.
Computer knowledge of Microsoft
Office products, specifically in
Excel; and have a familiarity
working in databases; and operating
and inventory systems. Understand
the computerized purchasing,
inventory and maintenance systems.
Have knowledge of contrat laws and
purchasing in the private sector.
Communication and Management skills
are critical. This includes the
ability to supervise employees and
deal with personnel issues on a 24
hour/7 day a week basis.
Have the ability to manage massive
amounts of data and analyze trends
for optimum efficiencies.
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from
four-year college or university or
equivalent purchasing experience.
Five plus years related experience
and/or training.
CPM/CPIM preferred, and expected to
obtain within first three years.
Have a valid driver's license
