currently have a Research Analyst
position open at our Grandview, ID
location.
Overview and Essential Functions:
Data collection and analysis of
performance statistics of cow/calf
and feedlot operations for the
Simplot Land & Livestock Group.
1.Assist management and vet sciences
in the cattle research programs.
2.Gather, research and analyze data
relating to all research projects
within the L&L group, which includes
sample collection, preparation and
submission. 3.Preliminary data
analysis and statistics. Assist in
protocol development, writing and
enforcement. 4.Organize dairy heifer
feedlot and cow/calf health and
performance records. 5.Monitor data
systems. Prepare and maintain
electronic equipment. ie., Grow Safe
Skill/Experience Requirements:
1 to 2 years experience plus a BS in
agriculture preferred or equivalent
years of experience with an emphasis
on data collection and statistics,
general livestock background;
Excellent computer skills including
Excel spreadsheet, access data base,
pivot tables and graphs. Detail
oriented, organized, ability to
communicate clearly with work crews
and management.
