The NCRCD seeks a detail oriented, professional
person to assist landowners with information to
implement natural resource practices and
eradication of invasive weed species, pasture
planting and management, plant identification,
pond management, soil erosion, forest health and
fuel load reduction, water quality and other
local conservation related activities performed
with a watershed approach. Duties also include
but are not limited to grant and report writing,
education and public out-reach through numerous
seminars and events, writing press releases,
grant invoicing and reporting and general office
duties that include minute taking at meetings,
website updating and clerical work. The
individual selected will be able to work
independently, complete work in a timely manner,
manage multiple tasks and offer sound,
scientific technical assistance to landowners
according to the NCRCD's goals and objectives
named in the Strategic and Annual Plans.
Computer skills are required. Arc-GIS experience
preferred. "People skills" are a necessity.
Looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person
expected to be a team player. Must have a valid
Class C driver's license with a responsible
driving record. Work hours may exceed forty
hours per week and include some evenings and
weekends.
